Los Angeles Critical - Professional NPPL

Los Angeles Critical (Formally known as Critical Wrecking Crew) - Our Story

Wrecking Crew was formed in 2008 by a group of friends driven to become the best paintball team in the world. Over the next three years the team has moved up a division every year; each season proving they are one of the top teams in their division. The team competed in the full 2011 National Professional Paintball League (NPPL). Although the team is based in Southern California, they were able to make it to each of the four national events. During the career of the team, they have garnished enough attention and support from international companies both inside and outside of the paintball industry.

Although Wrecking Crew did not ultimately win the 2011 Semi-Pro series championship, they were able to effectively demonstrate their unequaled potential by finishing in the top four of eighteen teams. Of the three other teams that finished top four in the series, Wrecking Crew was the only one that did not have any pro players. They also did not enjoy the support in the form of coaching, logistics, sponsorship, and scouting that came with being a mere farm team for established professional teams. Despite all of this, Wrecking Crew still won NPPL Huntington Beach—the largest 7 man tournament of the year—and remained in serious contention for a series championship (only trailing by 12 points before the last tournament). This achievement was ascertained through their own hard work and dedication to becoming the best team in the world.

In the 2012 season, Los Angeles Critical was offered Oakland Blast’s pro spot. Now able to pursue the dream of any athlete to play at highest level, Los Angeles Critical has redoubled their effort of becoming one of the top teams in paintball. With several roster changes and the continued support from Critical Paintball, Empire, and Bob Long, Los Angeles Critical is prepared to gain the recognition they deserve.
